In the Dragon Universe, there are other layers to reality besides the one your Character typically spends their time in. These additional layers are known as Dimensions, and different Dimensions follow different laws of physics.
Dimension Rules. Certain Dimensions may apply different rules known as Dimension Rules which will influence play. Each Dimension Rule is a unique rule applied to the DBU system decided by the ARC, meant to limit certain options or make the experience more interesting.
An example of this can be seen in the Tournament of Power, in which Characters were unable to fly through the use of ki.
Power Threshold. Power Thresholds are a measurement of your power and its ability to influence the very dimensions around you. Your Power Threshold is calculated by adding together your current Tier of Power and the Tier of Power Requirement of any Form or Transcendent Enhancement you are currently in (if, for any reason, you are in multiple – use the highest one).
Dimensional Shattering. If you are strong enough, you can tear a hole in a dimension and allow yourself to escape, done through the Dimension Shatter Modifier Maneuver (see below). To see if you have access to the Dimension Shatter Modifier Maneuver, you must meet a Power Threshold of 8.
Dimension Shatter Modifier Maneuver
Dimension Shatter [1/Round]: You create a hole in reality between two dimensions.
–Action Cost: 1 Action
–Base Maneuver: Power Up Maneuver
–KP Cost: 8(T)
–Effect: Create a Dimensional Crack in the current Dimension you are in on a Square adjacent to you, allowing you to return to the normal world if you move onto the Dimensional Crack. This Dimensional Crack lasts until the start of your next turn.
Dimensional Clash. If 2+ Characters with a Power Threshold of 10+ engage in a Duel Maneuver, if any of their Duel Clashes are a tie, the ARC may rule that the Duel Maneuver immediately ends and both Characters are brought into a separate Dimension until one of them is Defeated or they initiate the Duel Maneuver an additional time.
