Legendary Forms are the pinnacle of power within DBU, and as such, reaching them is typically a result of a character’s culmination of experiences. To properly respect that, there is an added layer of customizability on defining what is your character’s peak.
If you fully Master a Legendary Form which is the first stage of a Transformation Line with multiple Stages, and don’t have access to those higher Stages, your ARC may allow you to apply an additional layer of mastery known as a Unique Path to that Transformation. You cannot apply a Unique Path to a Transformation with the Peaked Aspect.
If your Transformation has obtained a Unique Path, you cannot gain access to the higher Stages of that Transformation, but that Transformation gains the following benefits:
- Your chosen Transformation gains 2 levels of the Scaling Aspect, and the Realization Aspect.
- Your chosen Transformation gains a Unique Trait from the list below. Unique Traits are additional Transformation Traits gained by a Transformation that allow you to customize it.
Unique Traits – General
These Unique Traits can be taken by any Transformation.
Path of Speed: By focusing on your swift agility, you can move faster and faster, surpassing even the swiftest of warriors.
-[Passive]: Increase this Transformation’s Attribute Modifier Bonus (AG) by 1(T).
-[Passive]: This Transformation gains the Enhanced Save (Impulsive) Aspect if it didn’t already possess it.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you would have to use a Saving Throw for a Clash initiated by an Opponent, you may use Impulsive regardless of what Saving Throw you would usually have had to use.
-[Triggered, Resource]: If you use the Rapid Movement effect of the Movement Maneuver, gain 1 stack of Blitz (max. 3). For each stack of Blitz, increase your Wound Rolls by 1(T).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver made through the Signature Technique Maneuver, you may pay a stack of Blitz to increase the Wound Roll by your Boosted Speed.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If an Opponent targets you with an Attacking Maneuver, you may spend any number of Blitz stacks to increase your Defense Value by 1(T) for each Blitz stack spent.
Path of Might: Might makes right, and you possess all the might. None can stand against you.
-[Passive]: Increase this Transformation’s Attribute Modifier Bonus (FO/MA) by 1(T).
-[Passive]: Increase your Might by 1(T).
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you would have to use a Saving Throw for a Clash initiated by an Opponent, that Clash instead becomes a Might Clash.
-[Triggered/Power, Resource]: Gain a stack of Super Power (max. 2). For each stack of Super Power, increase your Soak Value by 1(T).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you target an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver made through the Signature Technique Maneuver, you may spend a stack of Super Power to increase your Strike Roll for that Attacking Maneuver by 1/2 of your Might.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If an Opponent targets you with an Attacking Maneuver, you may pay a stack of Super Power to use the Power Flare option of the Defend Maneuver without spending a Counter Action. If you do, increase your Dice Score for this usage of the Power Flare Maneuver by 2(T).
Path of the Wall: Others may be an unstoppable force, but you have become an immovable object. None can overcome your defenses.
-[Passive]: Increase this Transformation’s Attribute Modifier Bonus (TE) by 1(T).
-[Passive]: This Transformation gains the Enhanced Save (Corporeal) Aspect if it didn’t already possess it.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you would have to use a Saving Throw for a Clash initiated by an Opponent, you may use Corporeal regardless of what Saving Throw you would usually have had to use.
-[Triggered, Resource]: If you are hit by a Signature Technique or knocked through a Health Threshold, gain a stack of Steel (max. 2). For each stack of Steel you possess, increase your Strike Rolls by 1(T).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver made through the Signature Technique Maneuver, you may spend a stack of Steel to increase the Damage Category of that Attacking Maneuver by 1.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If an Opponent targets you with an Attacking Maneuver, you may spend a stack of Steel to increase your Soak Value by 1/2 (rounded up) for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver.
Path of the Heart: You are a lively, charismatic sort who embraces all kinds of means to survive a combat encounter, and none can match your pep and social acuity.
-[Passive]: Increase this Transformation’s Attribute Modifier Bonus (PE) by 1(T).
-[Passive]: This Transformation gains the Enhanced Save (Morale) Aspect if it didn’t already possess it.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you would have to use a Saving Throw for a Clash initiated by an Opponent, you may use Morale regardless of what Saving Throw you would usually have had to use.
-[Triggered, Resource]: If you use the Hype Maneuver, gain a stack of Heart (max. 2). For each stack of Heart, increase your Combat Rolls by 1(T).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver made through the Signature Technique Maneuver, you may spend any number of Heart stacks to gain an equal number of Energy Charges on that Attacking Maneuver.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If an Opponent targets you with an Attacking Maneuver that is not an AoE, you may spend 2 stacks of Heart to change the target to any other Character within range of that Attacking Maneuver.
-[Automatic/Threshold]: Lose all your stacks of Heart.
Path of the Mind: Knowledge is power, and you know this all too well. Your knowledge surpasses that of all others, allowing you to reign supreme.
-[Passive]: Increase this Transformation’s Attribute Modifier Bonus (SC) by 1(T).
-[Passive]: This Transformation gains the Enhanced Save (Cognitive) Aspect if it didn’t already possess it.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you would have to use a Saving Throw for a Clash initiated by an Opponent, you may use Cognitive regardless of what Saving Throw you would usually have had to use. If you do, you may use Scholarship instead of Insight for the Attribute used to calculate your Cognitive Save for that Clash.
-[Triggered, Resource]: If you would use the Analysis Maneuver, gain a stack of Mind (max. 2). For each stack of Mind, increase your Combat Rolls by 1(T).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver made through the Signature Technique Maneuver, you may spend any number of Mind stacks to gain an equal number of Energy Charges on that Attacking Maneuver.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If an Opponent targets you with an Attacking Maneuver that is not an AoE, you may spend 2 stacks of Mind to change the target to any other Character within range of that Attacking Maneuver.
-[Automatic/Threshold]: Lose all your stacks of Mind.
Path of Control: You have mastered the art of controlling your aura, ensuring that you spend less energy to achieve the same results, making you even more efficient in battle.
-[Passive]: Increase this Transformation’s Attribute Modifier Bonus (IN) by 1(T) but reduce its Attribute Modifier Bonus (FO/MA) by 1(T).
-[Passive]: Increase your Dice Score by 2 for your Stress Test Rolls to use this Transformation in conjunction with an Enhancement Power.
-[Passive]: This Transformation gains the Perfect Ki Control Aspect if it didn’t already possess it.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you use the Power Up Maneuver or Movement Maneuver, regain 6(bT) Ki Points.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver, you may immediately use any Maneuver with an Action Cost of 1 Standard Action as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver before you calculate the Wound Roll for that Attacking Maneuver. If you would use the Energy Charge Maneuver, you must select that Attacking Maneuver and apply its effects immediately.
Unique Traits – Specific
These Unique Traits can only be taken by a Transformation listed in brackets after its name.
Unnecessary Evolution (Empowered Evolution): Your strength is so great that you need only your True Form, empowered such as it is. Not even the strongest of your peers can stand against your full strength.
-[Permanent, Passive]: Upon gaining this Unique Trait, select an Attribute Modifier Bonus (AG, FO/MA, or TE) and increase that bonus by 1(T).
-[Passive]: Apply your Tier of Power Extra Dice an additional time to your Wound Rolls while you possess 2+ stacks of Cruelty.
-[Triggered/Transform]: Use a Maneuver with an Action Cost of 1 as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you hit an Opponent with a Signature Technique, you may spend all of your Cruelty stacks to increase your Tier of Power Extra Dice by x Dice Categories, where x is equal to the amount of Cruelty spent, for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver. You do not lose these stacks of Cruelty until after this Attacking Maneuver is completed.
Fully Controlled Power Boost (Full Power Boost): Through mastery over your strength, you have no need to awaken it further, as you can draw out your dormant power with ease.
-[Permanent, Passive]: Upon gaining this Unique Trait, select an Attribute Modifier Bonus (AG, FO/MA, or TE) and increase that bonus by 1(T).
-[Passive]: This Transformation gains the Perfect Ki Control Aspect.
-[Passive]: Reduce the Ki Point Cost of all Attacking Maneuvers by 2(T).
-[Passive]: You do not lose Power stacks while in this Transformation.
Ultimate (Potential Unleashed): You have achieved the ultimate strength from your dormant potential, allowing you to surpass even the mightiest members of your race.
-[Permanent, Passive]: Upon gaining this Unique Trait, select an Attribute Modifier Bonus (AG, FO/MA, or TE) and increase that bonus by 1(T).
-[1/Encounter]: Gain 2 stacks of Peak as an Instant Maneuver.
-[Triggered]: When making an Attacking Maneuver, you may spend a stack of Peak to increase the Damage Category of that Attacking Maneuver by 1 Category.
-[Triggered/Transform]: Maximize your Power Stacks.
Condensed Legend (Legendary Super Saiyan 1): Despite your raw, rampaging power, you have managed to achieve true mastery, allowing you to choose the form of your unleashed power.
-[Passive]: This Transformation loses the Growth and Bulky Aspects, but gains the Graded Aspect.
-[Passive]: Increase your Soak Value by G(T) and your Wound Rolls by Gd4(T).
-[Passive]: While you possess no stacks of Super Stack, increase your Tier of Power Extra Dice by 1 Dice Category.
-[Triggered/Transform]: This Transformation gains the Growth (LV1) Aspect.
-[Graded]: Legendary Super Saiyan 1 has 3 Grades. Each Legendary Super Saiyan 1 Grade:
- Increases this Transformation’s AMB (FO/MA) by the amount listed on the Grades table.
- Increases this Transformation’s Stress Test Requirement by the amount listed on the Grades table.
- Increases your Tier of Power Extra Dice by the amount of Dice Categories listed on the Grades table.
- Requires access to the stage of Super Saiyan listed to be able to enter.

Super Saiyan Full Power (Legendary Super Saiyan 1): You have unleashed the full might of your Super Saiyan power, and unlocked the dormant power of the Great Ape inside you.
-[Passive]: While this Transformation is used in conjunction with the Wrathful Enhancement Power, increase this Transformation’s Attribute Modifier Bonus (FO/MA) by 1(T).
-[Passive]: The Automatic Keyword for the 3rd effect of Bestial Berserker becomes a Triggered Keyword.
-[Passive]: Increase the Damage Category of your Attacking Maneuvers made through the Basic Attack Maneuver or your Attacking Maneuvers that are Ultimate Signature Techniques by 1 Category.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you would use an Attacking Maneuver that is an Ultimate Signature Technique, you may double the bonus to your Wound Roll from your stacks of Battle Born for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver.
Earned Evolution (Super Evolution): You have trained so often and so precisely that your newfound power has grown to even greater heights; you don’t need to transform any further, as your might has become unsurpassed.
-[Permanent, Passive]: Upon gaining this Unique Trait, select an Attribute Modifier Bonus (AG, FO/MA, or TE) and increase that bonus by 1(T).
-[Permanent, Passive]: Upon gaining this Unique Trait, select a Meta Trait. This Transformation gains that Meta Trait.
-[Passive]: Increase your Tier of Power Extra Dice and the Extra Dice gained through Energy Charges by 1 Dice Category.
-[Triggered]: When you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver, reduce that Opponent’s Life Points by 1(T) for each stack of Cruelty you gained from hitting them with that Attacking Maneuver.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: When you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver, gain an additional stack of Cruelty.
True Super Saiyan God (Super Saiyan God): Drawing out the full power of the Super Saiyan God, you need not combine it with your Super Saiyan might as the power of true divinity flows through you.
-[Permanent, Passive]: Upon gaining this Unique Trait, select an Attribute Modifier Bonus (AG, FO/MA, or TE) and increase that bonus by 1(T).
-[Passive]: This Transformation gains the Armored Aspect.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If an Opponent hits you with an Attacking Maneuver, you may use the Basic Attacking Maneuver as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver. You must target the Opponent that triggered this effect with your Attacking Maneuver used through this effect.
-[Triggered/Undefeated]: Increase your Tier of Power by 1 (see — Breakthrough) until the end of your next turn.
True Ultra Instinct (Ultra Instinct “Sign”): You’ve managed to awaken the true power of Ultra Instinct, utilizing the technique rather than the Transformation.
-[Passive]: You may use one more Enhancement Power in conjunction with this Transformation and Autonomous Ultra Instinct.
-[Passive]: Replace the Overwhelming Heat Trait with the Beyond Heat Trait.
-[Permanent]: Ultra Instinct “Sign” loses the Draining Aspect.
