A Racial Factor is a change that can be applied to a Race at Character Creation (or with ARC permission if it seems like a suitable development) that replaces a Secondary Racial Trait of your choice from your Race with one of the Factor Traits listed by your selected Racial Factor.
You are not limited in the number of Factors you can possess, but you can only gain access to a Factor if you possess a suitable Racial Trait (that is not a Factor Trait) to exchange for the Factor Trait.
Factor Traits are considered Racial Traits. They are Primary or Secondary, depending on which type of Racial Trait they replaced.
Factor Prerequisites. As with Transformations, Racial Factors possess a Racial Requirement and may have additional Prerequisites that must be met to be able to apply the Racial Factor to your Race.
Maximum Factors. Each Factor can be taken a number of times listed for that Factor. Most Factors can only be taken a single time. The Maximum amount of times you can take a Factor is listed on that Factor as its ‘Maximum Factor’.
Factor Traits. Factor Traits replace a Secondary Racial Trait of your Race. Some Racial Factors possess multiple Factor Traits, of which you choose one when applying that Racial Factor.
If a Factor Trait has a Racial Trait listed in brackets, it means that it must replace that specific Racial Trait. In instances of this, a Factor Trait may even replace a Primary Racial Trait.
Some Factor Traits can only be selected by certain Races, these will be denoted by a header of sorts separating the Factor Traits from the others with the Race in question being the header, such as: ‘Shinjin Factor Trait(s)’.
