
Just about anyone could manifest the sparks, but not everyone will. They’re random, thought to appear when you apply your energy within one-millionth of a second of you landing your attack. Something shifts, space distorts, and your energy surges outward then flashes black, greatly enhancing your power. That’s not all, however, something in you shifts– your understanding of your energy– as you awaken amidst a shower of black sparks.

Black Flash!: One of the lucky few, blessed to successfully land one, enhancing your attacks further with a flash of black.
-[Ruling, Triggered]: If you hit an Opponent with a Physical Attacking Maneuver and the Natural Result of the Wound Roll is 10, that Attacking Maneuver becomes a ‘Black Flash’.
-[Passive]: Do not trigger the first effect of Black Flash unless you scored a Natural Result of 10 (ignoring any effects that increase the Natural Result) on the Wound Roll, and do not trigger it if Twin-Linked was applied to the Wound Roll for that Attacking Maneuver, or if you used an effect that would have rerolled the Wound Roll, or set the Natural Result for that Wound Roll to 10.
-[Passive]: Apply your Greater Dice to the Wound Rolls of your Black Flash Attacking Maneuvers.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you hit an Opponent with a Black Flash, you may increase the Damage Category of that Attacking Maneuver by 1.
120% of your Potential: You’ve landed a Black Flash and awakened, deepening your understanding of your power, and now you’re able to land them with much greater ease.
-[Automatic, 1/Encounter]: Upon using a Black Flash, increase your Maximum Capacity by 2 for each Power Level reached (after all calculations).
-[Passive]: After you have triggered the first effect of 120% of your Potential, apply the following effects for the remainder of the Combat Encounter:
- Increase your Tier of Power Extra Dice by 1 Dice Category.
- Reduce the Critical Target for all of your Attacking Maneuvers by 1.
- Increase your Combat Rolls by 1(T).
- Ignore the second effect of Black Flash!
