
Jacket Modules represent the different and unique abilities of each Battle Jacket. They are Traits that are only available while piloting a Battle Jacket that possesses them.
Armed Jacket: This Battle Jacket comes equipped with an arsenal of weapons for any combat situation.
-[Passive]: You may integrate up to 3 Weapons with the ‘Giant Weapon’ Quality to this Battle Jacket. While you are Piloting this Battle Jacket, you may treat those Weapons as if they are Integrated.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: When using one of this Jacket’s Integrated Weapons to use the Signature Technique Maneuver, that Attacking Maneuver gains an Energy Charge.
Automated Brutality: Mechanically driven to the extremes of violence, your Battle Jacket can apply extra pressure in battle, seemingly on its own.
-[Passive]: Reduce the Critical Target of your Strike and Wound Rolls by 1.
-[Triggered]: If you score a Critical Result on the Strike or Wound Roll for an Attacking Maneuver, increase the Wound Roll of that Attacking Maneuver by 2(JT). This effect can stack if you score a Critical Result on both the Strike and Wound Rolls for a single Attacking Maneuver.
-[Triggered, 1/Round, 3/Encounter]: If you knock an Opponent through a Health Threshold with an Attacking Maneuver, reduce the Dice Score of their Steadfast Check by 2.
Backup Reserve: Your Battle Jacket has a redundant power system, allowing it to fight longer and harder.
-[Passive]: Double the amount of Ki Points regained through the second effect of your Jacket Engine’s Unique Jacket Module.
-[1/Encounter]: As an Instant Maneuver, your Battle Jacket regains 10(JT) Ki Points.
Bestial Design: With beast-like features, your Battle Jacket fights like a wild animal.
-[Passive]: Upon gaining this Jacket Module, this Battle Jacket gains up to 2 Bestial Traits. If you only gained a single Bestial Trait through this effect, increase the Maximum Life Points of your Battle Jacket by twice its Jacket Level.
Capsule Form: Integrated with Capsule technology, this Battle Jacket is easy to carry around.
-[Ruling]: This Battle Jacket is a ‘Capsule Jacket’. If no-one is inside of a Capsule Jacket and you are on a Square adjacent to it, you may spend 1 Action to store it in a Capsule.
-[Passive]: Ignore the penalties of the Bruised Health Threshold.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: When you enter this Battle Jacket, use the Power Up Maneuver as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver.
Data Input: Able to assist its Pilot, your Battle Jacket can help predict the optimal moves by analyzing data compiled on a specific target.
-[Triggered/Start of Turn, Ruling]: Select one Opponent. They are ‘Scanned’ until the start of your next turn. Increase your Strike and Dodge Rolls against a Scanned Opponent by 1(JT).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you hit a Scanned Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver, apply an additional stack of Diminishing Defense on that Opponent.
Eject Function: This Battle Jacket has an emergency function that protects the pilot from danger in the event of catastrophic failure.
-[Passive]: Reduce the Strike Roll of any Attacking Maneuver made through a Called Shot to target the Pilot of this Battle Jacket by 2(JT).
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If this Battle Jacket would be destroyed, the Pilot is moved up to 10 Squares away in any direction of their choosing and their Life Points are only reduced by 1/4 (rounded up) of this Battle Jacket’s Maximum Life Points.
Extendable Limbs: Your Battle Jacket has mechanical arms and/or legs that can stretch to great lengths.
-[Passive]: If you do not have the Oblivious Combat Condition against an Opponent in Cover, your Attacking Maneuvers ignore the effects of Cover against them.
-[Passive]: Increase the Strike Rolls of your Physical Attacking Maneuvers made against Opponents who are 3+ Squares away from you by 1(JT).
-[Triggered]: When making any type of Physical Attacking Maneuver or Grapple Maneuver, you may increase your Melee Range by +3 Squares for the duration of that Maneuver. Upon hitting an Opponent or initiating a Grapple after using this effect, you may move that Character any number of Squares up to your current Melee Range (including the bonus from this effect) in any direction. If you initiate a Grapple through this effect, you can choose to forgo the movement effect to increase your Grapple Checks against the target for the duration of that Grapple by 1(JT).
Flight System: This Battle Jacket possesses an inherent means of flight, allowing you to take to the skies while piloting it.
-[Passive]: While Piloting this Battle Jacket, you gain access to the Soar Maneuver and Dragon Dash Unique Ability (which can be used while Piloting this Battle Jacket).
-[Passive]: Increase your Speed by 2(JT) while in the Sky Environment.
-[1/Round]: You may use the Soar Maneuver as an Instant Maneuver.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you use the Movement Maneuver, increase your Combat Rolls by 1(JT) until the start of your next turn.
Giant Robot: Bigger than most others, your Battle Jacket towers over everything in your sight.
-[Passive]: This Battle Jacket becomes Gigantic, but is considered Enormous for the Punching Up rules. You cannot select this Jacket Module if you possess the Power Armor Jacket Module.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you are hit by an Attacking Maneuver, you may gain Damage Reduction equal to the Soak Value gained from your Size Category for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver.
Heavily Reinforced: Extra plating or special materials make this Battle Jacket sturdier and more durable.
-[Passive]: Increase the Maximum Life Points of this Battle Jacket by 2 for each of its Jacket Levels.
-[Passive]: Increase this Battle Jacket’s Soak Value by 2(JT).
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If this Battle Jacket would be Destroyed, instead set its Life Points to 1.
Invulnerability Coating: Layered in an extra-durable coat of protective material, this Battle Jacket is protected from damage.
-[Passive]: Reduce the Ki Point Cost for the Guard Maneuver by 2(JT).
-[Triggered, 1/Round, 2/Encounter]: After you have been hit by an Attacking Maneuver, you can spend 1 Counter Action to apply the effects of the Guard option of the Defend Maneuver even if you did not use the Defend Maneuver.
Gattai: This Battle Jacket can link systems with others designed to do so in order to create a much larger, more powerful Battle Jacket with multiple Pilots.
-[Passive]: You gain access to the Jacket Combination Fusion Method (see — Fusion). You can only use the Jacket Combination Fusion Method with other Battle Jackets that possess this Jacket Module.
-[Passive]: Increase your Combat Rolls by 1(JT) while you are within the Melee Range of any Ally Battle Jackets with this Jacket Module.
Kung-Fu Action Grip: Designed for grabbing and holding, this Battle Jacket was made to mimic real martial artists.
-[Passive]: Increase the Dice Score of your Grapple Checks by 1(JT).
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: If you use the Grapple Maneuver and fail to initiate a Grapple, you may immediately use the Grapple Maneuver an additional time as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver, ignoring its 1/Round limit.
Mecha Finisher: Built to maximize the effectiveness of its combat systems, this Battle Jacket can bring more power to bear in a shorter amount of time.
-[Passive]: Upon gaining this Jacket Module, gain 20 Technique Points to spend on creating/improving this Battle Jacket’s Signature Techniques or Auras.
-[Triggered, Resource]: Each time you use the Energy Charge Maneuver, if you have declared one of your Battle Jacket’s Signature Techniques, gain 1 stack of ‘Charged’.
-[Automatic]: Upon using the Signature Technique Maneuver, spend all of your stacks of Charged. For each one spent, increase your Tier of Power Extra Dice by 1 Dice Category for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver.
Power Armor: This Battle Jacket is just big enough to fit a person inside, acting as a personalized suit of high-tech armor.
-[Passive]: This Battle Jacket’s Size Category is Large, but is considered Enormous for your Weapon Qualities and the Punching Down rules. You cannot select this Jacket Module if you possess the Giant Robot, Transformer, or Spare Seat Jacket Module(s).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you manage to dodge an Opponent’s Attacking Maneuver or use the Parry option of the Defend Maneuver to defend against an Opponent’s Attacking Maneuver, you may use the Basic Attack Maneuver as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver against the attacking Opponent.
Reflective Coating: Covered in a layer of shiny, reflective material, this Battle Jacket is able to redirect energy like a mirror redirects light.
-[Passive]: You do not need to pay Ki Points to use the Reflect Maneuver if the triggering Attacking Maneuver is an Energy or Magic Attack.
-[Passive]: Increase your Damage Reduction by 1(JT) against Energy or Magic Attacks.
-[Triggered, 1/Round, 3/Encounter]: If you are targeted by an Energy or Magic Attack, you may use the Parry option of the Defend Maneuver without spending a Counter Action.
Nano Repair: With an army of nanobots programmed to assist, this Battle Jacket can self-repair.
-[Passive]: This Battle Jacket is instantly and automatically Repaired after every Combat Encounter.
-[1/Encounter]: As an Instant Maneuver, this Battle Jacket can be Repaired.
-[Triggered/Start of Combat Round]: This Battle Jacket regains 3(JT) Life Points.
Self Destruct: This Battle Jacket is equipped with an explosive device, perfect for use as a last resort.
-[Passive]: Increase your Wound Rolls by 2(JT) for each Health Threshold you are below.
-[1/Encounter]: While this Battle Jacket’s Life Points are below the Bruised Health Threshold, if you use the Basic Attack Maneuver and select the Explosion Profile, you may apply the Final Chance Advantage and Self-Explosion Disadvantage to that Attacking Maneuver. If you do, you activate the effects of Final Chance even if this Battle Jacket’s Life Points are above the Injured Health Threshold. The Pilot and any Passengers are also considered a target for this Attacking Maneuver.
Spare Seat: This Battle Jacket is designed with additional seating to house passengers.
-[Passive]: You cannot take this Jacket Module if this Battle Jacket has the Power Armor Jacket Module.
-[Ruling]: An Ally on a Square adjacent to this Battle Jacket can spend an Action to enter this Battle Jacket as a ‘Passenger’, if they have the permission of the Pilot. A Passenger cannot be targeted by an Attacking Maneuver while inside the Battle Jacket, but also cannot target anyone but the Pilot with the effects of any Maneuvers while a Passenger. A Passenger occupies one of the Squares within a Battle Jacket and can leave the Battle Jacket as an Instant maneuver.
Transformer: This Battle Jacket is capable of transforming into a vehicle for ease of travel.
-[Ruling]: When you gain this Battle Jacket, create a Vehicle as if it was made with a Craft TN equal to the Craft TN of this Battle Jacket’s Jacket Grade. The Vehicle’s Volume is Minor if this Battle Jacket is Large, Moderate if this Battle Jacket is Enormous or Major if this Battle Jacket is Gigantic (see – Giant Robot Jacket Module). This Vehicle is known as the Battle Jacket’s ‘Travel Mode’.
-[Passive]: Life Points, Soak Value, and Damage Reduction are shared between the Battle Jacket and their Travel Mode – ignoring the Maximum Life Points of Vehicles. Any effects of a Vehicle Quality that would increase the Travel Mode’s Life Points, Soak Value, and Damage Reduction also apply to the Battle Jacket.
-[1/Round]: While piloting this Battle Jacket, you may spend 1 Action to transform this Battle Jacket into its Travel Mode or, while Piloting its Travel Mode, you may spend 1 Action to turn back into the Battle Jacket mode – any other Characters in the Vehicle are deposited in Squares adjacent to the Battle Jacket of your choice unless this Battle Jacket possesses the Spare Seat Jacket Module, in which case another Character of your choice may remain as a Passenger. You are still the Pilot of the Battle Jacket or its Travel Mode after it transforms between one and the other.
-[Automatic]: Transforming into the Travel Mode removes any Power Stacks you possess.
-[Triggered, 1/Encounter]: When you change into a Battle Jacket from its Travel Mode, you may use the Power Up Maneuver as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver.
Ultimate Survival Mode: Built on a rotary engine, this Battle Jacket can spin its body for offense and defense purposes.
-[Ruling]: During your turn, you can spend 2 Actions and 5(JT) Ki Points to begin ‘Spinning’ until the start of your next turn.
-[Triggered]: While you are ‘Spinning’, if an Opponent enters your Melee Range for any reason, you may use the Basic Attack Maneuver as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver. If you do, you can only select the Launching Profile for that Attacking Maneuver and you can use the Launching Profile any number of times through this effect. Each time you use the Basic Attack Maneuver through this effect, it counts as if it was used twice for the effects of Diminishing Offense.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: While you are ‘Spinning’, if you are targeted by an Attacking Maneuver of the Energy or Magic Attack Type, you can use the Parry effect of the Defend Maneuver without spending a Counter Action.
Unique Function: This Battle Jacket has a unique gimmick that helps it stand out from other Battle Jackets.
-[1/Round]: If you would use a Unique Ability possessed by your Battle Jacket, you may apply one of its Advancements for the duration of that use (even if you do not meet the Prerequisites).
-[Passive]: Upon gaining access to this Jacket Module, select up to 2 Unique Abilities from the list below to gain access to while Piloting this Battle Jacket (which can be used while Piloting this Battle Jacket and you do not need to meet their Prerequisites):
- Binding,
- Physical Retreat,
- Solar Flare,
- Afterimage Technique,
- Trap Attack.
Unique Jacket Modules
Unique Jacket Modules are Jacket Modules that are given by the fundamental structure of a Battle Jacket – decided by its Jacket Frame and Jacket Engine.
Jacket Frame
All-Round Frame: This Battle Jacket has a well-balanced frame that provides a blend of strength and agility.
-[Passive]: While your Battle Jacket is above the Injured Health Threshold, increase your Combat Rolls by 1(JT).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver and deal Damage, you may spend 3(JT) Ki Points to apply a stack of the Broken Combat Condition to that Opponent until the start of your next turn.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: When you are targeted by an Attacking Maneuver, you may increase your Strike Rolls or Dodge Rolls for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver by 2(JT).
High-Speed Frame: This lightweight frame is perfect for Battle Jackets that lean towards speed and agility.
-[Passive]: While your Battle Jacket is above the Injured Health Threshold, increase your Strike and Dodge Rolls by 1(JT) and increase your Boosted Speed by 2(JT).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver during a turn in which you used the Movement Maneuver while piloting this Battle Jacket, you may spend 3(JT) Ki Points to reduce their Life Points by 1/2 of your Battle Jacket’s Boosted Speed.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you successfully dodge an Opponent’s Attacking Maneuver, you may use any Standard Maneuver with an Action Cost of 1 as an Out-of-Sequence Maneuver.
Heavy Frame: This strong, weighted frame is ideal for Battle Jackets that prioritize power and durability.
-[Passive]: While your Battle Jacket is above the Injured Health Threshold, increase your Strike and Wound Rolls by 1(JT) and your Damage Reduction by 1(JT).
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you hit an Opponent with an Attacking Maneuver, you may spend 3(JT) Ki Points to reduce their Strike and Dodge Rolls by 1(JT) until the start of your next turn.
-[Triggered, 1/Round]: If you are hit by an Opponent’s Attacking Maneuver, increase your Damage Reduction by 2(JT) for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver.
Jacket Engine
Power to the Frame: This engine is wired to provide extra energy to the Battle Jacket’s frame, increasing damage output.
-[Triggered]: When making an Attacking Maneuver, spend up to 3(JT) Ki Points to increase your Battle Jacket’s Might by an equal amount for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver.
-[Triggered/Start of Combat Round]: Your Battle Jacket regains 3(JT) Ki Points.
Balanced Output: This engine offers a proportional distribution of power to both the Battle Jacket’s frame and its movement capabilities, making it a generalized option.
-[Passive]: While you have 2+ stacks of Power, increase your Combat Rolls by 1(JT).
-[Triggered/Power, 1/Round, 2/Encounter]: Your Battle Jacket regains Ki Points equal to 1/4 (rounded up) of their Maximum Ki Points.
Power to the Thrusters: This engine is optimized for speed, allowing the Battle Jacket greater mobility on the battlefield.
-[Triggered]: When you are targeted by an Attacking Maneuver, you may spend up to 4(JT) Ki Points to increase your Battle Jacket’s Defense Value by 1/2 of the Ki Points spent for the duration of that Attacking Maneuver.
